AI Flow Builder Guide: Set Up Automation by Describing Your Business
The AI Flow Builder turns a short form about your business into a ready automation flow. Here are the wizard's steps, how generation credits work and how to edit the result.

In this post
The AI Flow Builder turns a short form about your business into a ready automation flow. You press Create Flow with AI in the flow editor, fill in the wizard, and the AI sets up the triggers and messages for you. Then you check the result and turn it on.
This guide walks through what each step of the wizard asks for, how generation credits work and how to edit the flow you get.
When to use the AI Flow Builder and when to build by hand
For a small flow that answers a single question, building it by hand is faster. We covered that step by step in our first message automation guide.
The AI Flow Builder saves time when:
- You want one flow to cover many topics, such as greetings, common questions, complaints and product questions.
- You want every message written in the same tone.
- You don't know where to start and want a draft to work from.
The generated flow is a starting point. Read through the messages and adjust them to your own voice before you turn it on.
Opening the wizard
- Create an automation in Message Automation or Comment Automation, or pick an existing one.
- Open the flow editor with Edit Flow.
- Press Create Flow with AI in the editor.
The AI Flow Builder window opens. At the top you'll see your remaining AI Generation Credits, AI Edit Credits and the Resets on date.
The wizard works best on an empty automation. If the canvas already has a flow, the generated one replaces it. The panel asks you to confirm before it does that.
The wizard, step by step
The step bar at the top shows where you are. Use Next and Back to move between steps.
1. Profile
On the first screen you can pick a profile you filled in before, or start fresh with Create New Profile. What you enter in the wizard is saved as a profile. For your second flow you don't have to type it all again. Pick the profile and press Use This Profile.
2. Basics
The Business Basics screen asks for:
- Profile Name: a name so you can recognize the profile later.
- Business / Brand Name: the name used in your messages.
- Industry: pick one from the list or type your own.
- Automation Language: the language the messages will be written in.
3. Details
The Business Details screen is where the AI gets to know you. In Describe your business in detail, write what you sell, who you sell to and your basic terms, such as shipping and returns. The more concrete you are here, the more the messages will sound like you.
You also enter your website, your Instagram account and your target audience on this screen.
4. Purpose
On the Automation Purpose screen you choose what the automation should do. For a message automation the options are:
- Answer customer questions
- Product recommendations / Sales
- Handle complaints / Feedback
- Transfer to live support
You can pick more than one. If your goal isn't on the list, type it in Add other purposes. The wizard adds steps based on what you choose. For example, if you pick complaint handling, it asks whether a complaint should go straight to live support or whether the flow should collect details first.
For a comment automation the purposes are about comments: answering product and price questions, thanking people for positive comments, handling inappropriate comments and sending a private message to the person who commented.
5. Tone
On the Communication Tone screen you decide how the messages are written:
- Brand Tone: Formal, Friendly, Playful, Neutral or Young & Dynamic.
- How to address customers: Formal (Siz) or Informal (Sen). This choice matters for Turkish messages, which have a formal and an informal "you".
- How should sentences be?: Short & concise or Detailed & descriptive.
- Emoji Usage: four levels, from none to a lot.
- Banned Keywords: words you never want to appear in your messages.
Short sentences read better in DMs. If you're not sure, start with "Short & concise".
6. FAQ
On the Frequently Asked Questions screen you enter the questions your customers ask most, with your answers. Think shipping times, return terms and payment options. The Get Industry Suggestions button suggests sample questions and answers for your industry. Before you add a suggestion, edit the answer to match your own terms. If your shipping time is different, for example, the AI has no way of knowing that.
7. Media
For a message automation you can add images, videos or PDFs you want the flow to use. This step is optional. If you add media, the next screen asks what each file is for, such as "welcome image for the first greeting" or "size chart when someone asks about sizes". The AI uses that description to put each file in the right step.
8. Notes and summary
On the Additional Notes screen you can add any other requests. Then the Summary & Confirm screen shows everything you entered in one place. Fields you left empty are listed here. They don't block generation, but filling them in improves the result.
If everything looks right, press Generate with AI. A confirmation window tells you one AI Generation Credit will be used. Press Yes, Generate to start.
Generation and the AI's questions
Generation takes 2 to 3 minutes on average. Don't close the page while it runs.
Sometimes the AI asks for a few more details before it builds the flow. In that case the AI Questions screen opens. Answer the questions and press Answer & Generate Flow. These answers are part of the same generation and don't use another credit.
When the flow is ready, the Your Flow is Ready! screen shows how many steps and connections it has.
Editing the flow and turning it on
Press Apply to Editor and the flow is placed on the canvas. From here it works like any flow you built by hand:
- Check the triggers. The AI can set up both keyword and AI Intent Detector triggers. We explain where each one fits in keyword vs. AI trigger.
- Read the messages. Make sure prices, shipping times and return terms are correct. Change any sentence that doesn't sound like you.
- Test it with Preview. Type a few sample messages and see which branches the flow takes.
- Press Save and turn the automation on.
Manual edits don't use credits. If you want to regenerate the whole flow with different details, open the wizard again. That counts as a new generation and uses another credit.
How generation credits work
- Every Generate with AI confirmation uses one AI Generation Credit.
- Credits reset every month. The Resets on date at the top of the wizard shows when.
- How many credits you get each month depends on your plan.
- If generation fails because of an error on our side, the credit is restored. If you abandon it yourself, it isn't refunded.
To get the most out of your credits, take your time with the wizard. Spend the most effort on the Business Details and FAQ screens. Fixing a flow built from thin information takes longer than generating a new one from a well filled form.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get my credit back if generation stops halfway?
If generation fails because of an error on our side, the credit is restored. If you close the page or abandon the process, it isn't refunded. Generation takes 2 to 3 minutes on average, so keep the page open.
Does answering the AI's follow-up questions use a second credit?
No. The credit is used once, when you press Generate with AI. If the AI asks for missing details, your answers are part of the same generation.
Can I change the generated flow by hand?
Yes. A flow applied to the editor is a normal flow. You can change messages, add or remove steps and edit triggers. Manual edits don't use credits.
